Everything was exceptional at this restaurant. Amazing food, service and atmosphere.
We didn't have a reservation and we're told there were no tables available, but that we could eat at the bar. The bartender immediately greeted me and got me set up. They were attentive the whole time we were there despite being extremely busy.
Cola’s is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. I had the flounder and as always it was delicious. We also had the salmon with sweet potato grits. That was amazing as well. Ended with crème brûlée for desert. The atmosphere is nice. On this night it was a bit chilly inside the restaurant. Should have brought a jacket to throw over our arms.
Love Cola's Restaurant. I ordered the braised beef, collard greens plus macaroni and cheese which was delicious. This place is a must try. The atmosphere and service was great. I highly recommend them.
Excellent, whenever we're in Columbia we go there and I always order their signature flash fried fresh flounder in an apricot cilantro chile jam. It is heaven I'm like the cat in a cartoon, I sucked the bones! Hubby had his usual chicken parm and our granddaughter the Mahi entré. Oysters Rockefeller for an appetizer, no room for dessert.
Dined here for our anniversary dinner on Friday night. Our server for the evening was Greg and he was exceptional! He shared his favorites on the menu as well as the specials of the day. We started with appetizers and had the pear salad and also the shrimp and grit cake. Both were plentiful and beautifully presented. For our entrees we chose the Mahi & shrimp from the menu and the halibut & shrimp from the specials of the day. Both dishes were perfectly cooked, especially the shrimp, and the portions were also plentiful. We really appreciated that Greg was extremely accommodating when we asked for some slight changes in a few of our menu choices. He was attentive during the meal and really made our anniversary dining experience special. Thank you, Greg and Cola, for a great evening!
We *just* walked out and I have to say I have NEVER had such loving and attentive service before in my life. X is AMAZING and helped take my birthday over the top. I’m so grateful!! The food was amazing, but when I come back I’m coming to see X.
Cola’s remains my family’s favorite dining spot at downtown Columbia! And the food tonight was amazing as always, and I am super glad I chose them for my last dinner in SC.
Hands down the best dining experience in the city of Columbia. We started off with the raspberry Brie and the pimento cheese board. The grouper, flounder, mahi mahi, and the braised beef are absolutely to die for and I would come back and eat every single one of them. Came for the wife’s birthday and it’s safe to say she’s very happy. Our server was Belle and she was prompt and caring. We will be back again!
